JMU KAPPA DELTA PI

Maddie Frimmer
PRESIDENT
She/Her
Hi everyone!! My name is Maddie Frimmer and I’m the 2025-26 President of Kappa Delta Pi! I am a senior elementary education major from Waynesboro, Virginia. This is my 3rd year in KDP and 2nd year on exec! I am extremely excited to lead this amazing organization this year as we build our “teacher toolboxes” together!
In my free time, I love to try out new recipes, go on walks, be with family and friends, binge watch Netflix, and listen to music! I work at a small town ice cream shop back home during the summer time as well as travel as much as I can! I couldn’t be more excited about becoming a teacher and I love seeing how passionate we all are about this profession! KDP has been a home for me at JMU and I’ve met many of my best friends through this org. I can’t wait for this year with you all and hope that many others can find a home here!

KDP is an awesome community here at JMU for education majors to find friends who share the same passion for teaching as they do. I have found my best friends in this organization, and I cannot wait to meet all the new faces joining this year!
Jessica Flammia
COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR
She/Her
Hi! My name is Jessica Flammia and I am a senior elementary education major!
This will be my third year as a KDP member and my first year as an exec member! I have enjoyed my time in KDP so far and at JMU and can't wait to serve on the board this upcoming year!
I sincerely believe that teaching and serving others goes hand in hand. There's nothing more important than using our resources, time, and talents to uplift those around us. In this role I will connect our chapter to causes that matter such as, volunteering in local schools, hosting donation drives, and partnering with community organizations. "Service isn't just something we do, it's who we are."
When I'm not in Memorial Hall, you can find me exploring new places in Harrisonburg, working out, or trying yummy new foods!
Thank you all for being a part of Kappa Delta Pi!
Ellie
Fisher
NETWORKING CHAIR
She/Her
Hey!! My name is Ellie Fisher and I am your Networking Chair again this year. I am a senior (!?) Secondary Ed & English major and this is my third year in KDP, second on exec.
I’m from Columbia, Maryland and I love everything creative. Much of my free time is spent reading (fiction, some romance/fantasy, classics), doing arts and crafts of various types, rewatching the same five movies over and over, etc.. I love music! Indie/pop like Taylor, Lizzy, Phoebe, Wallows, and I dabble in alt/pop-punk/rock on occasion. I also take pictures of literally everything and dilly-dally with photography in my free time :)
I love KDP and can't wait to see what my last year here holds for all of us!

While in school, I'm a student administrative assistant for one of JMU's Associate Vice Presidents, Dr. Myles Surrett and a substitute teacher in Hanover County, VA. Outside of school, I like to stay active through intramural sports and working out, along with hanging out with friends and family. In addition, I love to read, bake chocolate chip cookies, and spend time outdoors. I cannot wait for another amazing year in KDP and sharing my experience with you!
