JMU KAPPA DELTA PI

Ella Wadhams
PRESIDENT
She/Her
Hello everyone! My name is Ella Wadhams, and I am your President this year! I am currently a senior history major with a double minor in social studies and pre-professional secondary education. This is my second year on KDP exec and my third year as a member of KDP and I love it! I am from Magnolia, Delaware and you can usually find me reading a good book, drinking an iced mocha latte with ALMOND milk, or listening to DJ on spotify (he is goated)!
When I am not at KDP events you can find me in Wilson Hall, tutoring, taking prospective students on tours, hanging with friends, or around campus doing fun activities with Harrisonburg elementary students!
I love this organization so so much and CANNOT wait to see you guys and what we do this year!
Peyton Schwarz
VICE PRESIDENT
She/Her
Hello, my loves! My name is Peyton Schwarz, and I am your Vice President and Connections chair this year! I am currently a senior English major with a minor in Pre-Professional Secondary Education. This is my first year serving on KDP's executive board, and my third year as a member of this wonderful organization. I am from Midlothian, Virginia --just outside of Richmond, VA! I am always reading a book, listening to music (I love boy bands), or shopping online.
When I am not attending KDP events, you can always find me somewhere on campus (Memorial, SSC, and Carrier), so please say "hello" if you are out and about!
I can't wait for such a wonderful year with all of you and to see all the amazing things you'll do. Reach out to me anytime you need!
Alexa Yudoff
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CHAIR
She/Her
Hi! My name is Alexa Yudoff, and I’m so excited to be our chapter’s Professional Development chair this year! I am a senior Elementary Education major with a minor in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies from Mount Olive, NJ! This will be my third year in KDP and my first year as an exec member!
I love being involved on campus and am a JMU Student Ambassador, giving tours to prospective students and their families! You can also find me working in the ETMC, where I’d love to help you find a children’s book or use our educational technology (or make a cute pin or two). Some things that I love are going to coffee shops, hanging out with my roommates, doing crafts, musicals, and NJ bagels.
I am so lucky to be in KDP! This organization means so much to me and has given me friends and mentors I am so grateful for. I can’t wait to get to know you all better and grow as future educators together!
Lexi Donnelly
COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR
She/Her
Hello everyone! My name is Lexi Donnelly, and I’m your Community Service Chair for the 2026–2027 school year! I am currently a senior Elementary Education major with a T.E.S.O.L. minor from Leesburg, Virginia. This is my third year in KDP and my first year serving on the executive board!
Outside of KDP, you can probably find me at Chick-fil-A. It’s my favorite place to do schoolwork and grab a sweet treat. It’s truly an addiction! Other than that, I love spending time with my friends and family. We love watching TV shows together, especially The Office, Dancing with the Stars, and Modern Family. I also love staying active, whether that’s going on a run or taking a UREC class. I’m also a huge fan of concerts, so if you ever need a concert buddy, reach out! I’d love to go!
I’m so happy to continue another year with KDP! I’m looking forward to everything we have planned this year and, most of all, to spending another year with everyone!
Reagan Bryan
NETWORKING CHAIR
She/Her
Hi KDP Fam! My name is Reagan Bryan, and I am so fortunate to be your Networking Chair this year. I am a Junior Elementary Education major from Virginia Beach, VA, and this will be my second year as a member of KDP and my first year on the executive board. I love spending time with friends and family, cooking delicious food and desserts, having a perfect iced coffee, or hanging out with my 2 pet snakes, Mahi and Linus, in my free time!
When I am not at KDP events or meetings, you can typically find me in Memorial Hall or the ETMC making things, at my apartment binge-watching a good show or movies, going on drives down Spotswood Trail blasting Harry, Phoebe, Noah, RoleModel, Malcolm Todd, Audrey Hobert, or an "oldies but goodies" playlist, or at Ruby's Arcade on Tuesday nights playing Bingo.
The KDP community is one of the most supportive and endearing groups I've ever been a part of, and I am so lucky to be a part of not only KDP but also the executive board. I look forward to creating fun events and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for those who feel like they might not have a place at JMU yet!
Addison
Six
TREASURER
She/Her
Hey everyone! My name is Addison Six, and I'm the 2026-2027 Treasurer of Kappa Delta Pi! I am a senior, elementary education major with an honors minor, and I'm from Ashland, VA - The Center of the Universe! This is my 3rd year in KDP and my second year serving on the executive board. I'm beyond excited to serve in this leadership role and continue to grow our mission within the JMU community!
While in school, I'm a student administrative assistant for one of JMU's Associate Vice Presidents, Dr. Myles Surrett, and a substitute teacher in Hanover County, VA. Outside of school, I like to stay active through intramural sports and working out, along with hanging out with friends and family. In addition, I love to read, bake chocolate chip cookies, and spend time outdoors. I cannot wait for another amazing year in KDP and to share my experience with you!
Kristin Balbuena
SECRETARY
She/Her
Hi everyone! My name is Kristin Balbuena, and I am so incredibly grateful and honored to serve as your KDP Secretary this year! KDP has become such an important part of my college experience, and I truly cannot express how humbled I am to be a part of this executive board. This is my first year serving on the executive board and my second year as a member of this incredible organization.
I am a junior Special Education major, originally from Lima, Peru, and I grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. I am very passionate about inclusive education and creating learning environments where every student feels valued, supported, and included. I love learning about special education, disability studies, educational research, etc and I love finding ways to connect what I learn to my future classroom. I also enjoy volunteering and getting involved in opportunities that allow me to learn from and support individuals with disabilities and the community. I wholeheartedly believe that every student deserves a safe and welcoming place to learn, and I love that KDP encourages us to grow as future educators while serving our communities!
Outside of KDP, if I'm not talking about teaching, I'm probably listening to Taylor Swift and finding another way to bring her into the conversation! I also love crafting and enjoy sewing, painting, crocheting, embroidery, and making projects inspired by teaching (and, of course, Taylor Swift). When I'm not crafting, you'll usually find me reading historical fiction or memoirs.
JMU has given me so many opportunities to grow as both a student and a future educator, and KDP has played a huge role in that. I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to serve as your Secretary this year and give back to an organization that has given me so much. I can't wait to get to know all of you and make this an amazing year together!

I’m a current junior with a major in elementary education, and I’m so grateful that there is an org for those who are passionate about teaching and learning!! I truly would not want to do anything different and am excited for the future.
